Having a positive sense of self-esteem and loving ourselves are essential to overall good health and well-being. This is a lesson that took me many years to learn and embrace.  I am honored to know dozens of beautiful, creative and talented women.  Regrettably, many struggle with their body image and sense of worth.  I can tell them all how spectacular they are, but they must believe it from within.

As women, instead of berating ourselves for being "less than perfect", let's commit to celebrate the many gifts that we have to offer.  Our value lies not in the size of our thighs, but what is in our hearts and what we give to this world. 

It is never too late to change our attitudes toward ourselves.  The magic of each new day is that we get to choose what we think and believe. We can choose to make our health and well-being a priority.  We have only one body, and it deserves to be honored, loved and nurtured. An essential step in gaining a more balanced, quality life begins when we give ourselves permission for self-care.  Self-care is not a selfish act, but rather a priceless investment in ourselves.
