What You Can Expect From Coaching

How The Process Works:


My "coaching for wellness" program requires an initial commitment of three months, allowing you the time necessary to adopt long lasting behavior changes.  Our program begins with a detailed self-assessment, which we review in an initial 90 minute call to determine your priorities and develop a personal wellness plan. During this call, you will create a wellness vision as well as short & long term goals.  Together we will identify obstacles and create ways to overcome barriers to your success.

Subsequent weekly calls will last between 30-40 minutes and will focus on your goals, successes and ways to make your new lifestyle changes become permanent habits. In addition to our scheduled weekly calls I am available through email and phone for ongoing support.  While your focus may be to adopt a healthier lifestyle, you may discover a number of other areas that you want to work on during our coaching.  As a professionally trained Life Coach, I can support you in a variety of ways - remember this is about you and finding what you need.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the advantage of coaching by phone?
-Because our coaching is done over the phone, you do not have to take time to drive to an office location. Instead, you can call me from a location of your choosing, regardless of where you may be during any given week. 

How often do we talk?
-We typically talk once a week, however we will tailor our scheduled time together based upon your availability.  Some clients enjoy weekly calls to start with and then prefer to move to bi-weekly calls for ongoing support and maintenance of the skills they have learned.

Will I have homework? 
-Any "homework assignments" are activities that we agree on, and that are meant to help you successfully incorporate new and healthier habits into your day.  They will not be time consuming, but will require a commitment to your goals.  An example might be to write down your food intake for a few days to observe your eating patterns, or to identify and try a self-care activity to help you achieve a sense of calm and reduce your stress.  There are no "one size fits all" activities or suggested assignments since you are unique.  Together we will uncover steps that can help you achieve a greater sense of health and wellbeing.

What results can I expect?
-If you are really committed to your goals, you can expect to see improvements in the areas you make a priority, including better nutrition, exercise, energy, sleep, and reduced stress.  By taking small steps each week you will experience continued "wins".
